An annual gift buys a year. An endowment buys for ever.
Noble International School costs ₹2.4 crore a year to run properly — ₹65,000 a day, ₹12,300 a month for each of its 160 children. Today that money is raised again from nothing every single year. That is a fragile way to educate a child, and it consumes the time of the people who should be teaching.
Why we are asking this way
Every rupee of endowment is a rupee that keeps working after you have stopped giving, after the trustees have changed, after the founder is gone. It converts a charitable gift into a permanent institution — which is the only honest way to promise a child that the school will still be there when their younger sister is old enough to come.
It is also the only structure that can absorb a gift of a hundred crore without distorting an organisation. Handed ₹100 crore of operating money, a school this size would spend it badly. Handed ₹100 crore of corpus, it becomes permanent.
What we will not do with it
Corpus is not a reserve we quietly draw down when a year goes badly. It is not commingled with operating funds. It is not lent, pledged or used as security. It does not touch Rebuild India Medical Academy Pvt Ltd, which is a separate for-profit company and receives nothing from the Foundation.
A corpus gift is accepted only with your written direction that it is corpus, held under its own head of account, and reported to you annually for as long as the fund exists.

Each is a named, permanent fund inside the Foundation's accounts. None of these is a checkout button — every one of them begins with a conversation and ends with a signed deed of gift.

The ARISE Corpus
A corpus large enough that the movement never has to charge the people inside it — trainers, materials, convenings and the Ladder of Human Transformation, carried in perpetuity. Those inside the movement never pay; this is how that promise is kept after all of us are gone.
The founding corpus target will be set by the trustees. If you want to be one of the people who sets it, that is the conversation to have.

The Rebuild India Endowment
One hundred crore. At a 7% real yield that is roughly ₹7 crore a year, for ever — about 470 children in school every single year, in perpetuity, across this school and the ones that follow it.
The largest instrument the Foundation offers. Ordinarily built from several gifts rather than one.

Pledge it over five years.
Almost nobody writes a crore in one cheque, and we do not expect it. A pledge lets you commit now and pay over three to five years — and it lets us start building, because a pledge is something a trustee can plan against.
How it works
You tell us the total and the number of years. We send a pledge letter setting out the amount, the schedule and exactly what it funds. You countersign it. The first instalment is paid whenever you choose.
What it commits you to
Morally, everything. Legally, nothing. A pledge to an Indian charitable trust is not an enforceable debt and we would never treat it as one. If your circumstances change, you tell us and we adjust. We have never once pursued a pledge.
What it commits us to
Reporting to you against that schedule every year, in writing, whether or not the year went well. Naming the fund as agreed. And not coming back to ask for more during the pledge period.
What your name gets attached to.
We think recognition should be written down rather than negotiated awkwardly. Here is the schedule. Anonymity is available at every level and is honoured absolutely.
